Recently, we had the
opportunity to contribute to an Associated
Press story focusing on anger in couples and
how that feeling arises in typical household
situations. We were responsible for the
majority of the “tips” section toward the

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY—March 10, 2009—In an
effort to help stimulate the
economy and increase
services, today CCMFT announced that it is
expanding its reduced fee
program. For a limited
time, new clients can take advantage of a
deeply discounted introductory
rate for counseling
services at any of our three locations.
“We are
pleased to be able to offer this program
that will feature quality services
from a licensed
marriage and family therapist to folks who
are in need of help,” said CCMFT
Founder and Director
Cari L. Sans, M.A., LMFT. “We hope to reach
more people who would
like to attend
treatment but for economic reasons have been
unable to before now.”
The new
endeavor expands on the recently launched
“Couples and Families Saturdays”
program which was

economic crunch these days. To help Long
Islanders keep more greenbacks in their
wallets, Counseling Corner for Marriage and
Family Therapy, P.C. (CCMFT) of Rockville
Centre this week is launching the new
“Couples and Families Saturdays” program
designed to help ease the economic pinch.
The endeavor will offer new customers the
opportunity to receive quality counseling
services at a reduced cost on Saturdays at
the Rockville Centre location.
“One of the reasons
people seek treatment is due to financial
stress, so it makes sense that we launch
this program—especially during these
difficult economic times,” said CCMFT
Founder and Director Cari Sans. “We’re
excited to offer quality counseling services
at a reduced price so that more folks can
experience the benefits of therapy.
The new “Couples and
Families Saturdays” program will begin in
Rockville Centre with the possibility of
extending to the Manhattan location.
Counseling services are available to couples
and families only and will be led by a

THERAPIST TO SPEAK AT STATE CONFERENCE
ROCKVILLE CENTRE,
NY—March 27, 2008—Counseling Corner for
Marriage and Family Therapy, P.C. (CCMFT)
Founder and Director Cari L. Sans, M.A.,
LMFT will be a key speaker at the New York
Association for Marriage and Family
Therapy’s annual meeting May 1—4, 2008 in
Syracuse, NY.
“I am excited to share
my knowledge of the subject matter with my
colleagues and other professionals in the
field,” said Sans. “The conference is a
tremendous opportunity for all who attend to
refresh their skills and learn something
new.”
Cari’s presentation
will focus on establishing and growing a
private practice in marriage and family
therapy, while incorporating the conference
theme of best practices. Additional
conference topics will focus around this
premise, including ethics and insurance
coverage. New York Association for Marriage
and Family Therapy is the state division of
the American Association for Marriage and
Family Therapy.
Cari is a clinical
member of the American Association for
Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the
Metro New York and Long Island chapters of
the organization. She is a member of the
New York State Board for Mental Health
Practitioners, and a trained Parenting
Journey© and PEACE facilitator. Cari is
currently a candidate for certification as
an AAMFT approved supervisor as well as a
credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse
counselor (CASAC). She has lectured at City
University of New York’s Hunter College
School of Education and has been featured as
a relationship expert in many local media
outlets.
